Antahi Innovations, Cambridge
Aware of the benefits and fears associated with tube feeding, veterinarian Ursula Haywood launched into a two-year research and development programme that resulted in Antahi Tubers. The flexible tube and distinctively shaped tip make the Tubers easy for calves to swallow, without pain or risk of tissue trauma. Studies showed a massive reduction in calves’ stress indicators when Antahi Tubers were used in comparison to traditional rigid feeding tube devices. Antahi Tubers also reduced average feeding time by nearly 50%.
Antahi Innovations launched its products at National Fieldays in June 2016, selling 800 units over four days. Since then the company has sold close to 3,500 units and has already secured distributors, orders and marketing opportunities worldwide.
